Holiday apartments in Marina di Campo

About us

I'll tell you our story, I'm Ylenia and together with my brother Emanuele we represent the 3rd generation.

In the 1960s, grandfather Aladino and grandmother Mirta laid the first stone of the "big yellow house", which in reality at first was not yellow at all, but white, helped by our great-grandfather Francesco and many grandfather's friends.

Two little girls also wandered around there, our mother Doriana and our aunt Eliana, and while they played the house grew with them.In 1967 our grandparents rented the first room and from there the story oft he guest house "CASA ALADINO" began ...

... I loved hearing that story as a child, which in reality was just a small anecdote of two girls who came to Elba on vacation without plans, on an adventure and who when they asked my grandparents for a room created a bit of confusion because the room weren't actually 100% ready to rent yet ...

... then, over the years, many customers became friends and when I made my appearance in the late 1980s, I was able to grow up in a family that increased in number and fun every summer.

Together with the newborn Emanuele, at the beginning of the 90s, the first big changes also came along, and while I was repeating the multiplication tables and Emanuele was being pushed around in a stroller the ground floor underwent a drastic transformation: The rooms became apartments and a new sign also arrived ... a shining one

So our grandparents' business continued to grow, changing and adapting to the new requests of our old and new tourist friends.

This propensity for renewal has never abandoned us, and so, at the beginning of the new millennium, it was the upper floor that was upset.

The already large terrace was enlarged going to embrace all four sides of the house and the stairs for the first floor were moved and multiplied from one to two; our father Massimo had tendonitis by hand cutting all the new musical notes necessary to continue the old score of the pentagram railing that grandmother Mirta had strongly wanted from the beginning for her house!

... We all worked on these big changes but decided in 2005 to call for help from professionals to continue with the work started by our grandfather Aladino, who has unfortunately left us in the meantime ...

... Thus began the collaboration with the agency Napoleon and Emporio Vacanze which from that moment took care of the reservations for us because both father and mother had their jobs, the following year I would have gone to university, my brother would follow in a few years and Nonna Mirta didn't get any younger and couldn't cope with everything on her own anymore ...

However, our management part remained important, our family was responsible for maintaining the structure and welcoming guests.

... other important changes have taken place, since 2007 we have gradually taken over the physical work of our grandmother. Since 2012 my brother and I have become the managers, of one floor each, also definitively dividing the practical and bureaucratic management of the entire structure continuing however both the collaboration with Napoleon and since 2009 also that with Emporio Vacanze ...

... with 2017 together with the celebrations for the fiftieth year of activity we have opened a website of our own to be able to tell you about our past, our present, and why not, to build the future together with you, our guests and friends, old and new, who have accompanied our family over the years ...

2021, I had already told you before that we never stop and that we like change, this year a new adventure starts, also dictated by the changes in life that come over the years.

... Emanuele and I are now divided between Elba and the "continent" (this is how we islanders call the mainland) and with Nonna Mirta becoming older and older, the management of the apartments has become more complex for us three, so we have new friends and partners (Booking Elba) who will take care of our apartments ...

... but do not worry, every time we are "on the rock" we will not fail to come and greet you, dear guests and friends, filling a glass of wine and drinking a toast! (also because the tradition of grandfather Aladino, of welcoming guests in the cellar with a "gottino di vino", even if we no longer produce wine, somehow must be kept alive).
